Tip: Read "Winter Girls" by Laurie Halse Anderson, a girl suffering from anorexia nervosa. It was a realistic book, fantasy, and it was very emotional. Another great book "Speak", also by Laurie Halse Anderson. Ellen Hopkins is another amazing writer, "said dynamic". It cycles from the perspective of three young people who have attempted suicide, and also a romantic.

Try the chicken soup for the teenage soul. They are really good and just with almost any problem. They contain a series of short stories, but stories are true. You can find them in the older sections in barns and nobles, Paper Star, and borders.
